5 workout tips for beginners – Start exercising today

Starting with exercise can feel overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. Here are five simple tips to help you get started – and stay motivated.
1. Start small
You don't need to train an hour every day from the beginning. Start with 20–30 minutes, 2–3 times a week. The most important thing is to build a habit – intensity can be gradually increased.
2. Find something you enjoy
Exercise shouldn't feel like a punishment! Try different activities – yoga, strength training, dance, running, Pilates – until you find something that makes you happy. When exercise is fun, you'll stick with it longer.
3. Invest in good workout clothes
It might sound like a small thing, but workout clothes that fit well and feel good make a big difference to motivation. When you put on clothes you feel good in, the threshold for working out is lower. Clothes with a good fit and support – like sculpting tights – give you confidence at the gym.
4. Set specific goals
Instead of "I'm going to exercise more," try "I'm going to exercise Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday." Specific goals are easier to follow up on, and you can celebrate when you reach them!
5. Be patient with yourself
Results take time. Don't compare yourself to others – focus on your progress. Every workout is a step in the right direction, no matter how short or easy it is.
